BetVictor, commonly referred to as Victor Chandler has been offering odds in the UK since 1946. Its global reach now spans to over 70 countries worldwide, and offers one of the widest range markets of any online bookmaker. BetVictor rose to prominence back in 1999 when it became one of the first bookmakers to offer ‘tax-free betting’. This was achieved by moving their entire UK operation to the tax haven of Gibraltar. The transition online soon followed and the company has gone from strength to strength ever since.One of the key aspects of BetVictor’s success is the ability to move with the times. They have added new features such as ‘live/in-race betting’ and ‘mobile betting’ to their betting site. Giving customers more options to play with and providing an all-round better service.

The range of markets available at BetVictor is second to none. Not only do you get all your favourite UK and international sports, but you are also offered odds on a variety of non sporting events. These could be TV shows like the BAFTA’s to who will be the new leader of one of the political parties. All the regular types of betting are offered, which is something not all sites have.
One thing we liked about BetVictor was the betting slip, with a simple, easy to understand format, was a breath of fresh air. A few clicks and your bets are placed, the way it should be. We did find that the site could be slow at times, and this would be frustrating if you were trying to make a quick bet before a race. Sometimes your session timed out, for no apparent reason.
Promos/Odds - 8/10
There are a range of offers at BetVictor, which range from Money back specials to fallers insurance. A full range of promos can be found at the site. At the moment BetVictor are offering new customers a £25 free bet, when customers place a bet of up to £25.
We found the odds were not the best available online, however they were far from stingy. Odds on sports like Football and Horse racing were very competitive.
Transactions - 7.5/10
All major debit and credit cards are accepted at BetVictor as well as money transfer services. There are no fees for making a deposit or withdrawing money, this is a real positive. The minimum you can deposit into your account is £10, bets start at a minimum stake of £1 or equivalent and £0.05 on a multiple stakes.
Withdrawals are usually paid back to you using the same payment method you used to make your deposit, although personal cheques are available. The maximum you can withdraw onto your debit card is £10,000 which will take 2/3 days, credit card and wire transfer is £2,000 and will take 3/5 days. We found the withdrawal process slightly clumsy and occasionally our request was ignored. However no money was lost and we did get an apology.

BetVictor provides email support 24/7 and free phone support (08:30-00:00 GMT). Our emails were responded to quite quickly, usually within the hour. The responses were clear, although on occasion I don’t think they quite understood what we were asking.
