Choiceodds Review

Choiceodds is an independent betting site currently focusing solely on Financial betting. It was launched in the early part of 2007 and has seen a rapid uptake in new accounts, fuelled by the growing interest in betting on the financial markets. Choiceodds offers fixed odds and binary betting on a range of financial markets such as the FTSE, Wall Street, currency markets and even Brent Oil.

Choiceodds is based in the UK and is a subsidiary of Choice Gaming Ltd. There bookmaking operation is licenced and registered by the UK Gambling Commission. They are also one of the only gaming sites that I know of that are Carbon Neutral, regularly planting trees to offset their carbon emissions.

Features - 7/10

Choiceodds offers a range of markets for punters to bet on. These are focused around the rise and fall of these markets over a specific time period. For those that don’t like hanging around, there is a minimum wait of 5 minutes between bets. However you can also choose to bet hourly, half-daily and daily if you prefer to bide your time. The Choiceodds website is simple to navigate and allows users to flick between decimal view, matrix view or an up-down arrow format. As you move between markets it is simple to add your bet using the betting slip that remains on each page you visit. You can then review your bets under “My Positions”, making it easy to keep track of your spending.

There is not a great deal of historical data available to access at Choiceodds, so you will have to rely on other sources for market research. Also don’t be surprised if your bet gets rejected, which happened to the reviewer on more than one occasion.

Promos - 8/10

Choiceodds are currently offering a £50 free bet to depositing players after their first bet on the site (see terms). This is a really good offer and may help you get off to a flyer if you spend it wisely. There are also other incentives for referring friends to Choiceodds, see site for details.

There is no loyalty program that we know of for regular players at this financial betting site. This is something that we would like to see introduced, to encourage users to come back time and time again.

Transactions - 7/10

All major credit and debit cards are accepted at Choiceodds including MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch and Solo. There are no associated charges for making deposits or withdrawals in this way.

Minimum deposits at Choiceodds is £20 which is a little steep, but this will last you quite a while with bets starting from as little as 10p. Withdrawals can be requested through your account, although you will normally need a minimum of £10 in your account.

Customer Service - 6.5/10

The support offered at Choiceodds is slightly limited, however they do have both phone and email contact available. Emails can take up to 4 hours to be responded to, which could be better. The phone service is quicker way of getting a response, but can be busy at certain times during the day. If you can, try searching for your query in the F.A.Q. section on the site, which is reasonably comprehensive.
