Cage fighter wins lotteryA cage fighter from Neath in Wales is celebrating today after finding out he had won £1 million on the Euromillions lottery draw two weeks ago.

Gavin Davies, 29, from Cimla in Neath forgot to check the two tickets he had purchased for the draw two weeks ago and could not believe his eyes when he found out he had won the life-changing sum.

Davies has revealed that intends on spending a portion of the winnings buying his dream car – a £200,000 Lamborghini Spyder. However, he plans on being shrewd with the rest of his jackpot.

He said: "I have always dreamt of owning a Lamborghini, and I will also be treating my partner to a new car as well as taking my mum and the rest of the family on a holiday.

"But the rest of the money will be spent on a property and on other investments for mine and my family's future."

Davies lives with his partner and month-old son and it was whilst he was with his newborn son that he discovered the win.

The ex-martial arts teacher said: "I was feeding our newborn son, and as soon as I had got him to sleep, I decided to go out to the car to get my tickets which I had been keeping in the glove compartment.”

It is a fairytale ending for Davies who almost died in a horrific motorcycle crash back in 2006 and spent 9 months in hospital. He bought four tickets for the Euromillions draw on Tuesday 27th December, 2011 but only got round to checking his numbers this week.

He stated "The last few years have been very up and down, but this win couldn't have come at a better time. I always knew I would win the lottery one day, and now my dreams have come true."
