| Purple Lounge Leaves Microgaming Poker Network for Entraction |
The move comes as a bit of a shock to the poker world and is regarded as Purple Lounge’s parent company, Media Corporation, opting to focus their business attention on their Danish venture ahead of their interests in Canada, Estonia and Russia.
The Entraction network is currently the home of such big name brands as Victor Chandler and also manages the European Masters of Poker Tour that runs across Europe.
Purple Lounge confirmed the move stating “As we all know, the online poker industry is an ever changing and fast-evolving one, and Purple Lounge is evolving too. Moving network becomes a crucial part of this process. Entraction is backed by one of the biggest gaming companies in the world (IGT), so you are in reliable network-hands, today and tomorrow.”
They continued by saying “The bad news is that we currently can’t accept Danish players BUT the good news is that we can on Entraction! Not only that, we have a specific solution for Danish players that will be available within the next 10 days.”
What is considered to be a huge boost for players in Denmark is seen as a huge blow to players in Canada, Estonia and Russia who currently enjoy Purple Lounge.
Purple Lounge said “It is with great regret that once we migrate onto Entraction we are no longer able to accept players from Russia, Estonia and Canada."
