PlaytechOnline gaming software developer Playtech plc has been approved as Associate Member of the World Lottery Association (WLA), the globally recognised authority for state lottery and gaming organisations.

The approval will allow Playtech to become a primary provider of software for the lottery industry and develop best practices for lotteries in developed markets.

Jean Jorgensen, Executive Director of the WLA, said: "We welcome Playtech as an Associate Member to the WLA and look forward to working with them."
