| Mansfield Couple Celebrate Winning £40.6m on Euromillions |
A couple from Mansfield in Nottinghamshire were celebrating winning a staggering £40.6 million on the Euromillions this week. The winning ticket belonged to Gareth, 40, and Catherine Bull, 35, and was a Lucky Dip ticket for the Friday 20th January, 2012 draw.
Mr Bull has already stated his intent to use the money to buy himself a box at Manchester United to watch all their home games and Mrs Bull has more subdued aspirations with a carpet for the hallway as her main priority.
Mrs Bull stated her astonishment and disbelief when her husband said they might have won the jackpot by saying "He came into the bedroom white as a sheet, the ticket was shaking in his hand and I knew something wasn't right."
She continued by saying "I was in the middle of straightening my hair and told him I wasn't very happy with being teased."
Mr Bull currently works as a self-employed builder and Mrs Bull is a health insurance worker. Mr Bull bought the Lucky Dip ticket after being unable to start a building job due to the recent bad weather.
The couple are also planning on buying a Range Rover Sport, a holiday villa and enjoying a holiday to Disney World in Florida. They are the winners of the seventh largest lottery jackpot to be won by a British player. The largest was won by a couple from Ayrshire in July 2011 where they won £161 million on the Euromillions.
