|Jonathan and Charlotte Favourites to Win Britain’s Got Talent|
Opera singers Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli have been installed as the bookmakers’ favourites to win this year’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The singing duo are listed at 4/1 to win this year’s competition with William Hill amid claims that the standard of this year’s entries is well below the expected standard set by previous series.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said “Apart from Jonathan & Charlotte there has been no wow factor this year and at this stage we cannot see anyone else winning it!”
The adorable dog dance act of Ashleigh and Pudsey is currently joint second favourite at 9/1 with Twist and Pulse Dance Company. Singing group The Mend are third in line at 12/1 and the singer song writer Ryan O’Shaughnessy is available at 16/1 after he won the hearts of the nation by performing a song he wrote about a girl he loved who had no idea how he felt.
This year’s competition has also had its novelty acts. Zipparah Tafari gained a cult following and received thousands of hits on YouTube for his rap 'Where Me Keys? Where Me Phone?' Such was the impact of Tafari’s rap on the nation’s public that William Hill has been forced to offer odds of 50/1 on him winning Britain’s Got Talent this year and even has odds of 66/1 that he will win and then have a number 1 hit single with his rap.
