| Ivory Coast Favourites to Win African Nations Cup |
The 2012 African Nations Cup kicked off this weekend and Ivory Coast have been installed as the favourites to win this year’s tournament.Games have already been played and one of those games included Ivory Coast’s hard-fought 1-0 win over a resilient Sudan. A solitary Didier Drogba goal was enough to seal the win for the Elephants and keep them as favourites to win the title.
Paddy Power has listed Ivory Coast as favourites at 6/4. Ghana are the next in line ranked at 4/1 showing just how much confidence the bookmakers have in Ivory Coast to win the tournament. Senegal are rated at 8/1 and the Irish bookmaker has Morocco valued at 15/2.
Punters that fancy backing an outsider might wish to bet on one of the dark horses such as Tunisia who are available at 10/1 or even Mali who are listed at 16/1. Tournament debutants Niger are being offered at 66/1 and open their campaign tonight against co-hosts Gabon.
