Written on Wednesday 31st March, 12:39 pm by admin
Game AccountGameAccount Global Limited has had its operating licence suspended by the UK’s Gambling Commission watchdog under section 118 of the Gambling Act of 2005.

In a statement, the Gambling Commission said: “The suspension is an interim measure, the need for which will be kept under consideration during the review,” read a statement from the Gambling Commission.

“The Commission will make no further comment until the review is complete.”

GameAccount is the firm behind site GameAccount.com and CasinoRip.com, which both accept players from the UK and several other parts of Europe.

According to section 120 of the Gambling Act of 2005: “The Gambling Commission may suspend or revoke an operator’s licence if ‘a licensed activity is being or has been carried on in a manner that is inconsistent with the licensing objectives’.

The Gambling Commission has the power to remove or delay a licence or licence application if it feels that the operator is not meeting its obligations under the licensing agreement. The Commission is likely to announce its findings in the next 10 days after a review has been conducted.
