The boxing world was tarnished this weekend after a disgraceful press conference brawl in Munich between British boxers Dereck Chisora and David Haye.

Chisora and Haye clashed at Chisora’s press conference in Munich after he had just been defeated by WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko. Chisora left his seat at the conference table to confront Haye in the audience before both boxers came to blows after some heated verbal exchanges.

The brawl involved Chisora claiming Haye glassed him and then proceeded to threaten to shoot Haye. This appalling confrontation has led to bookmakers listing the chances of a fight between the two as odds on.

William Hill is offering Haye as 4/11 favourite to beat Chisora should a fight happen. Chisora is listed at 2/1 with a draw available at 33/1.

"Chisora's brawl with Haye guarantees a suitable fight for both of them, with the winner taking on one or other of the Klitschkos" stated William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe.

However, both fighters now face the prospect of potentially being handed life bans by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC) after their antics in Germany which resulted in Chisora being questioned by police before being released without charge and Haye still being sought by the German authorities.

BBBC General Secretary Robert Smith stated "The board have many powers. They can fine, they can suspend and they can withdraw a licence."
