| The totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup 2009: betting guide |
The Cheltenham Gold Cup 2009 is only round the corner and the anticipation has never been greater. Once again punters are likely to be treated to a majestic battle between two of the greatest horses the racing world has ever seen. All eyes turn to the Paul Nicholl’s trained horses Denman and Kauto Star as they go head to head for the second year running.
The star of the show last year was Denman, but with Denman only achieving a second place in his Gold Cup warm up at Kempton and Kauto Star coming back to win his third King George, the race wide open. Exotic Dancer's win in the Lexus also puts him amongst the favourites in what promises to be an epic race.
The four days of the festival between the 10th- 13th March 2009, features 26 great races with The Champion Hurdle on day one, The Queen Mother Champion Chase on the second day and The Ladbrokes World Hurdle on day 3 with the finale on the final day in the form of the Gold Cup.
