Leading bookmakers across the market are tipping Floyd Mayweather to defeat Manny Pacquiao if the two agree to fight in what would be a dream encounter for boxing fans all over the world.Momentum is building as both parties are closer to agreeing a date and figures for the fight that would be the most highly anticipated boxing clash in decades.
Both boxers are regarded as two of the best fighters of all time and a bout between the two has been craved by fans the world over for years. Now it seems the match is closer to becoming reality than ever before.
Ricky Hatton, who fought and lost to both men, tweeted “I’m hearing real progress is being made making Pac-Man n Mayweather. Great News. I fancy Mayweather. Pac nailed me as I was reckless, again. But Floyd was technically exceptional. I couldn’t hit the f****r with a handful of confetti. Ha Ha.”
Now bookmakers are even offering odds on who will win such is the hope that this fight will now go ahead with the pair close to setting a date and venue.
Paddy Power is offering Mayweather at 4/7 to win with Pacquiao at just 5/4. A draw is available at 30/1. These are odds that are reflected relatively consistently across the market.
Sky Bet has odds available for the method of victory. Mayweather to win by decision is offered at 6/5 compared to Pacquiao winning by decision which is at 2/1. Sky Bet lists Mayweather at 4/1 to win by knockout or disqualification with Pacquiao available at 13/2 to win by knockout or disqualification.
