Online bingo sites on the St Minver network will soon be able to accept customers using PayPal for their transactions. The eBay-owned online payment solution will be added to bingo sites within the St Minver network by August.The deal is likely to give sites in the St Minver network a huge boost, as the competition for players in the UK bingo market is particularly fierce.
PayPal has traditionally steered away from gambling related sites, but as its growth rate has slowed in the last few year’s, the interest in gaming sites has grown. The acquisition of St Minver by GTech, a global leader in gaming and lottery technology, is likely to have helped secure the deal with the popular payment solution.
A spokesman for Gtech said: “We are very excited about being able to offer our UK bingo partners the comfort, ease and security that comes with using the PayPal service.”
