Miss Spring sells her virginityIf the fact that a girl from Hungary is planning to auction off her virginity in a reality TV Series isn’t weird enough, a bookmaker plans to take bets on the winning bid.

Paddy Power have opened a betting market on 18-year-old Miss Spring, who is to have her virginity taken away from her by the highest bidder. Punters can bet on a series of odds based on the amount of the winning bid and the nationality of the winner.

Virginity Betting Odds
The shortest odds are 2/1 (3) that her virginity goes for €300,000 or more, between €275,000 and €300,000 is currently at 7/2 (4.5) and under €200,000 is 3/1 (4).

Brits should be proud to know that the favourite nationality for the winning bidder is British at 5/4 (2.25), with Irish 3/1 (4) and Hungarian an outsider at 7/1 (8).

Miss Spring originally tried to auction her virginity on eBay, after her family ran up huge debts, but the site pulled the listing. So in stepped a Hungarian broadcaster to make the auction into a live show, set to be aired on August 25th.

She said: "I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It's just for one night.

"And I think it's actually quite romantic because the man who pays me this money will be helping to save my family from being homeless. He will be our saviour."

A spokesman for Paddy Power said: "This is certainly an auction with a difference and I'm sure that sympathetic punters from around Europe will only be too hungry to save Miss Spring from her financial woe."
