Written on Wednesday 30th May, 8:34 am by Peter Hanigasek
Bally Technologies logoBally Technologies (Gibraltar) Ltd has applied to the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) for a Foreign Gambling Associate Certificate it was confirmed this week.

The Bally Technologies subsidiary firm officially applied for the gambling certificate on Friday 11th May, 2012 and is awaiting news of whether the application has proven to be successful or not.

Any parties that oppose the application were given 14 days to state their discontent with the application before any confirmation of a successful application could be made. That 14 day deadline expired a few days ago and the subsidiary company of the Las Vegas-based games supplier are expected to know whether the application has been successful or not in the coming days.

If accepted, then Bally Technologies (Gibraltar) Ltd will become an official Foreign Gambling Associate of the AGCC. The AGCC deems a Foreign Gambling Associate to be 'an entity (other than a Category 2 eGambling licensee) to whom a Category 1 eGambling licensee transfers customers, or allows them to be transferred, for the purpose of that entity effecting gambling transactions with the customer or arranging for those customers to gamble with others.'

Should Bally Technologies (Gibraltar) Ltd be awarded a Foreign Gambling Associate Certificate, it will see the Bally Technologies brand expand further across the globe and allow the firm to supply games to a wider audience in more countries.
