|£148m EuroMillions Jackpot Winners Revealed|
The couple behind the winning £148 million EuroMillions ticket were revealed as Adrian and Gilian Bayford from Haverhill in Suffolk.
The husband and wife were unveiled to the public yesterday at a press conference at a luxury hotel in Hertfordshire. The couple also announced they would be sharing their fortune with those people that have supported them over the years.
The pair, who have been married for eight years, spent Friday evening planning on how to spend their new multi-million pound fortune with Adrian, 41, stating that he intended to return to work at his market stall business but Gilian, 40, said she planned on retiring.
Gilian said "I find it hard to take in the actual quantity of it. We have always worked and saved up for holidays or things that we need. We have lived within our means and been comfortable but we have been like ships in the night to earn the income we needed.”
She added "It will be fantastic to spend more time as a family now. This money has come at the right time for us and is going to benefit the whole family."
The couple said they now plan to search for a new home and Gilian wanted to buy a new Audi Q7. The couple, who have a six year old daughter called Aimee and a four year old son called Cameron, also planned on visiting the Canadian Rockies and visit Disney World.
Gilian also stated "Children's charities are close to our hearts so we will be exploring how we can use this money to help those charities but it is too soon to say exactly what."
The new fortune is estimated to put the lucky couple higher than Sir Tom Jones, Jamie Oliver and Eric Clapton in the UK’s Rich List.
