Cheltenham Racing Festival Day 4
A selection of tips from the big races on day 4 at the Cheltenham Festival 2011.JCB Triumph Chase
The JCB opens the final day of the Cheltenham Festival, with a real sprint for the four-year-olds over 2m 1f.This year Nicky Henderson is well represented with up to ten runners in this race, however only Grandouet, A Media Luz, Moose Moran and Titan De Sarti have any hurdling experience to speak of. Of these horse, Grandouet looks the pick of the bunch.
Competition for places is like to come from the Alan King-trained Smad Place, who never really made it in flat racing, but has performed well after being transitioned into a hurdler.
Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle
This Grade 1, 3m novice hurdle is a real test for four-year-old's and older and is the last race before the Gold Cup.Irish trainer Willie Mullins has two very promising entries with So Young and Bishopsfurze. Of the two horses, Bishopsfurze looks the more promising having recently won over 2m 6f.
The Nicky Henderson-trained Mossley is another possible contender, although his last outing was a bit of a disappointment.

The Martin Pipe Conditional is a race that makes bookies nervous and punters can win (or lose) big on outsiders with so much uncertainty in the field. The race has only been on the card for two years, so there is no real historical data or trends to consider.Trainer Nicky Henderson has eleven entries this year, but only a couple appear to be stand out runners. First Point is an eight-year-old that has won on this course before and is well suited to hurdles.
Call the Police is also another horse to consider based on his form in Ireland. Although fairly untested on firmer ground, he may enjoy the firmer conditions.
