Here are a selection of tips for the Cheltenham Gold Cup 2010 including a tip for the favourite, an each-way bet and an outside chance. These tips are the opinions of our betting expert who follows racing throughout the year, studying the form of all the horses taking part. Everybody loves a tip for the Gold Cup, so we hope that ours prove successful to you if you decide to use them.
Gold Cup Tip for Winner - Kauto Star
Although Kauto Star just passes the trending age for Cheltenham Gold Cup winners, he makes a worthy favourite. Twice winner of this race in the past and currently in fine form and with Ruby Walsh riding him again, I can't see any other horse beating him.
Gold Cup Tip for Each Way - Cooldine
It's hard to see how any horse outside the Nicholl's trained pair has a chance, but one worth a look is Cooldine. The Willie Mullins trained 8 year-old showed a return to form at the Hennessey recently, having not been at full strength. This race horse is the right age and has won at the Cheltenham festival before. Definitely worth a look as an each-way bet.
Gold Cup Tips for Outside Chance - Madison Du Berlais
This 9-year-old race horse did not get a chance to prove himself last year, after being saved for the National, but makes an interesting outside chance in this year's Gold Cup. Madison Du Berlais will have to go some to keep up with the favourites, but if he is there come the closing stages then he may have a bit of a chance. The long odds make it an attractive proposition.
