Cheltenham Gold Cup Tips
Here are our selection of the Cheltenham Gold Cup tips for the 2011 race, including a tip for the favourite, an each-way bet and an outside chance. These tips are the opinions of our betting expert who follows racing throughout the year, studying the form of all the horses taking part. Everybody loves a tip for the Gold Cup, so we hope that ours prove successful to you if you decide to use them.
Tip for Cheltenham Gold Cup Winner 2011 - Imperial Commander
Although you can never rule out Kuato Star and Denman for the Cheltenham Gold
Cup, the bottom line is that these two horses are past their best and face last
year's winner Imperial Commander. Having won in style at the Betfair Chase in
November, Imperial Commander looks in good form coming into the Festival, with
no major doubts over ability or health. Imperial Commander is our antepost tip
for the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2011.
Each-way Tip for Cheltenham Gold Cup 2011 - Long Run
When our pickers look for a decent 'each-way' bet for the Gold Cup, they look
at which horse realistically has a chance of being placed in the top 3, even
though several bookmakers are paying out to 5 or 6 places. This year the value
each-way bet is the Nicky Henderson-trained Long Run. This French bred runner
put in an impressive performance to take the King George VI Chase and is due a
good performance at Cheltenham.
Outside Chance Tip for Cheltenham Gold Cup 2011 - Tidal Bay
Tidal Bay is a race horse that has shown lots of promise, but not always
delivered in the past. However an impressive 2nd in the Betfair Chase in
November has shown that this race horse is not to be discounted from being an
outside chance for Cheltenham. Our pickers would recommend an each-way bet, but
it might just be a good opportunity for Tidal Bay to prove his quality.
